I Flipped!

Yep, that's right people, today I flipped myself over for the first time all by myself! For those who want to know the nitty gritty details I flipped from my tummy to my back from my left side (using my right hand to push off of - I think I'm a "righty" as I seem to favor this hand in many activities.)

It's official. . .I'm a Packers Fan!

For a little recap on the past couple of weeks, this is one of my very favorite outfits - go pac! - though as stylish as it is, I actually like it the best because I can grab onto the sticky lettering. It's what made me be more curious at grabbing things.

I requested to adorn myself in the Pack gear for St. Patties Day!

Here is a picture of me hanging out in the Bumbo Chair for the first time. My neck is getting stronger and I actually enjoy sitting in this position now. . . aha, I have a throne!

"Bring me a toy. . .woops, pick it up and give it to me again!"

It's springtime in Colorado and I'm getting more and more used to my shades. .

These will be a staple of mine as long as I live in this sun-shiney place!

My adventures take me next to Minnesota. My Great Grandpa Russ of late went to a place full of love, peace, and joy. . . he has joined Great Grandma (who I hear was an amazing lady) for a dance that they will share with each other forever more. We will go to celebrate his life!

Viva Mexico!

                               Salud!

We travelled to Sayulita, Mexico for a week of fun in the sun! Finnley is 3 months old and we figured it was a perfect time to introduce her to VACATION!  Our friends Brian Feddema and Amy Hale joined us from Leadville.  The inspiration for the trip was two parts. . . one, the wedding of Casey Brown (Spencer grew up with next door to in Neenah) and Deann; and two, Brian suggesting that we go on a surfing trip.  We thought we'd combine the two and take off for the week.

So many new things to see and do . . .

What. . . a dip in the ocean?  Oh dad, I'm not so sure about this. . .

Nope.  I'm really not into the cold salt water on my bum! Not today anyways. . .

Let's go back to the house and play bananagrams!  Speaking of bananas, check out this crazy banana?!?

Relaxing on our patio overlooking the ocean. . . a much better option in Finnley's mind.

I see you taking my picture dad. . .

Check out my mohawk side profile!

Now this is the life at the beach!

Brian and Amy helped out a bunch with little Finn.  Thanks guys!  Oops, that darn hat is over Finnley's eyes again. . .

The Brown Wedding. . .complete with a mariache band.

(our house is at the bottom of the highest clump of homes in between the two men first from the left)

Congratulations Casey and Deann!  We are all so happy for you :)

It was a beautiful setting and place to celebrate YOU!

Casey had some words for Deann and his new stepdaughter, Bailey. . .

A good place for a family portrait. . .aka Christmas Picture Potential.

Finn loves her babybjorn . . . loves to suck it that is. . .mmmmm.

She also LOVES to be nudy-pudy!

Ahhhhhsome views and relaxation time on the patio. . . what a beautiful and peaceful place.

Several nights we made dinner at the house . . . it had a grill so we'd buy fresh meat at the carniceria and whip up a grill'n feast complete with fresh guacamole and homeade tortillas . . . all for less than $10!

Finnley grew accustomed to the beach and really enjoyed the people watching. . .

Until she grew tired and retreated to her shadeseat.

Then it was time for mom and dad to go surfing. . .

Here is a man's best friend watching over his surfing boss. So cute :)

Speaking of friends,  we befriended our neighbors who are adventure racers and live in Sayulita full time . . . we found out we were friends with two of the same people in Moab, Utah and had an instant connection . . . the woman, Julie, brought us to her favorite surf spot 20 minutes away. . . nice rolling waves with an incredible beach. Thanks Julie!

Did we mention that Finn is putting anything she gets her hands on in her mouth?

Dad and Finnley at the secret surf spot.

Another incredible view and evening of surfing.  Notice the mountain range in the distance. . .

What a great surfing vacation.  Good job Spence!

By the end of the week, we were in our groove and digging the beach life.  Yeah baby!

About to leave. . . we better take another family picture. . .

We'll miss you Sayulita, but we'll be back!
Surfs up. . .
