Farm Sweet Farm

I had my first summer visit to the Farm in MN. . .boy, are there so many fun things to do and see there.  The cool part was that my cousins from Seattle came and we all spent a week together with Grandma G and Grandpa Cool, Aunty Krista, Uncle Peder and Aunt Melissa.  Plus we had a family reunion where I met a lot of my extended family and Great Grandma Mimi and Great Grandpa Papa.  Whew- talk about a lot of action baby. . . 

Here are some of my many adventures that I had,

I got together with my friend Vivianne, she is 3 months older than me and she is soooo tall!

 

Grandpa took me first thing to see and meet his chickens "cluck, cluck, cluck".

Did you see these chickens Mom? How cool are they?

I took my first dip in a pool. . .ooooooooh burr, but I think I like it. . .

Oh yeah, this is the life baby. . . a little fun in the sun.

My cousins are bringing some food down to the chickens. . .yummy, straight from the garden!

Then we went out to pick some blackberries. . .delicious! 

(well I actually didn't have any but they sure looked tasty. . .some day!)

I got to sleep over at my Uncle Peder and Aunt Melissa's house, nice and cool and comfy. . .I slept so good . . . well, like a baby!  Thanks guys!

My cousins were always entertaining me and I think I may have entertained them too. . .here we had just seen a squirrel jump onto the bird feeder . . .whoa.

I love my big cousin Alden . . . she takes such good care of me!  mmmmmmmwa!

There were so many beautiful flowers to see and smell and touch. . .

I especially loved cooking/baking with Grandma G. . .can I have some of that dough?

Harvey is sooooo fun, he loves to play and kiss. . . whoa watch out for his waggy tail!

We headed up to our cabin in Hayward, WI where we met up with Aunt Melissa and Uncle Peder again.

Speaking of balls, Uncle Peder has a couple of goof balls on his legs. . .

At the family reunion in Spooner, WI-  I met so many new family members. This is Kirstine and Isacc. . . they live in North Carolina.  She is married to my mom's cousin Josh (who shares the same birthday with my mom) Isacc was born just about month after me.

I love a good party!  This is Isacc's sister Anika. . .

Back to the cabin we go. . .Great Grandma Mimi, Great Grandpa Papa and Great Aunt Pam come to have dinner with us. . .Isn't my Papa handsome? A true Bohemian Bohunk.

Ahhh, look Papa, Great Aunt Pam's fluffy white puppies. . .I love puppies, they make me squeel!

And my Mimi. . .I got to play with her pearly necklace and long painted nails. . .

This was just so much fun.  Thank you for everything Grandma G and Grandpa Cool!  I love you guys soooooo much and appreciate all the nice things you do for me. . .BTW this bicycle shirt that you got me is my new FAVORITE!  MMMMMMMMWA!

When mom and I got home there was a package for me. . .WOW, check out this hat. . .it's a puppet or it's a hat!  Nothing like arriving back to Home Sweet Home and getting a fun surprise in the mail!  Thanks Aunty Sarah. . . .I can't wait to meet you :)

Happy First Father's Day Dad!

i am so happy that YOU are my dad! today it's all about YOU baby . . . (even though we actually celebrated dad's day last Sunday because mom and I are in MN) i hope you're doing something FUNOLICIOUS! we sure had a good day together though . . .

i knew it was going to be a special day when we spotted a tornado cloud above mt.massive, HOLY COW!

after the cloud disappeared from the sky we went for a neat hike through the woods . . . i love our Sunday family hikes. . .

look'n good! i must say, i've got one talented daddy!

now for your surprise . . . a bench for the fire pit. . . do you like it? mom and i made an outdoor bench using these old pillars that you finally moved to the burn pile because she has been saying she would use it for something cool for years. . . i picked out the color green, out of all the colors mom listed, the green made me scream with excitement. . . turns out the thrift store had these cool white skis for $2 . . . perfecto! my signature footprints are on the side, wow are my feet getting big... now sit down, relax, and open a cold one dad. . . i love you - mmmmmwa!

Happy 6 Months Finnley Ann!

6 MONTHS BABY! 

I've got my special bow on now let's PARTY! 

There are so many things I am starting to do on my own . . . like drink from a cup. Okay, it's a sippy cup but I make it happen!

First, I prepare the position. . . 

Tilt it back and. . .

ahhh, so refreshing.

Then check this out. . . I can sit all by myself!  No worries.

It makes me so happy to be so independent!

I can stand up on my own too. . . if I have a couch or mama's shirt to hold onto.

I'm still not to psyched about tummy time and moving around on my own, but I sure have gotten good at bending in half to reach for goodies . . .

These days I put EVERYTHING in my mouth. . .paper is one of my favorites but doesn't taste too good. . .I do LOVE avocados, in fact, that is the only solid food that makes the grade these days.

mmmmm. . . avocados.

I have so much fun with my buddy Arlo. . . he can move and groove like no one else I hang with. I wonder when I'm going to move around like he does. . . hmmm?

Until then, I'm happy just sittn' and hang'n with my people.

Dad, your nose is irresistible. . . I have to grab it!

What an awesome first 1/2 year of my life it has been. . .can't WAIT to see what's in store for the last half of my first year . . . we shall see . . .
