Now THIS is Colorado!

Dad had to go out of town for work for a week, so mom and I had some pretty fun girly adventures.  It began with my first summit of Independence Pass on a bike.  The neat part was that the pass was closed for the season so no cars could drive on it. . .it was just mom, me, penny, the open road and sunshiny skies baby. . .

Back so fast. . .whew, what a sweet down hill ride! 

Mom, I want to explore a bit before we head home. . .

One week later, the clouds came in and dumped a big load. . .of snow that is!  So it was ski time! It was a "Babes in the Backcountry" day with me, mom, libbey, amanda and dogs stella, osa, and penny!  Go ladies go!  

 Now, you may want to watch this at your own risk. . .if you think skiing at 11 months is kind of risky business. . .well, you might not be comfortable watching this video. . . but know that I LOVED IT!!

Joh and Wiley, we dedicated this run to you as we KNOW you would have been skiing this powder with us on this day had you still been in Leadville. . .we miss you :)

October Visit to Wisconsin

We flew right into Appleton, WI and met up with Grandma Ginger and Grandpa Stanek.  We will stay the night here and then road trip to Daddy's cousin, Gabe Marsh's wedding in Rochester, MN.  I love these weddings!! It's soooo fun to see all my Chuckel relatives again!! There is a new addition since the last wedding. . . Cousins Ryan and Crystal Chuckel had little Helen. . .I can't WAIT to meet her. . . 

Congradulations to them and to the newlyweds Gabe and Megan Marsh!!

Before the wedding party. . .we need to celebrate Grandma Ginger's Birthday . . . Happy Birthday!!! Do you like what I picked out for you?  Super Comfy SOCKS - Life is GOOD!  I love you - xoxox.

My First 14ner

I almost forgot to tell you all that I officially climbed my first 14,000 ft. mountain- Mt. Massive on October 1. What an awesome day. . . the weather couldn't have been better, I had my Grandma G & Grandpa Cool with me, and of course my dog Penny and Mom too. The views from the top were endless!

It was so much fun getting to the top, I needed a little beauty rest on the way down. . .
